Sashiko Thread Thick is a 6-ply cotton made of fine strands tightly twisted together to make a single thread and suitable for larger patterns and sturdy mending. Unlike embroidery thread which will show as separate strands when making longer stitches, sashiko thread settles into the fabric as a solid "rice grain like" stitch. The thread is wrapped on a card making it easy to cut to desired length and easy to store. For the finer 4-ply thread, see Daruma Sashiko Thread Card Thin.
